Aegis sues Stoner over Iraq trophy video

More4 News tonight interviewed Rod Stoner, the Aegis whistleblower who revealed footage of the company’s contractors shooting at Iraqi civilians on his website.

The programme had originally interviewed Stoner anonymously a week ago.

In tonight’s report Stoner has dropped his anonymity as he is being sued by Aegis, who claim that he is breaching copyright by publishing the videos. The case is apparently being heard in the High Court tomorrow.

This is an interesting development given that the Americans are still supposed to be investigating whether the video is connected to Aegis.

Stoner has admitted he was present at the incidents shown, but apparently hasn’t been interviewed either by the Americans or for the company’s internal investigation, which finished on 12 January, according to More4 News.
