A Belfast website got me thinking about the British general election. Not about Liberal tax bands, or Tory immigration quotas, or Labour’s "unremittingly new" something or other. Interesting for what’s not contested.
Consider this. The UK is the world’s fourth largest economy. Yet Britain manufactures almost nothing, extracts and mines very little and is locked in a low skill unproductive rut. Square that?
