Iraq election results update

Juan Cole has an update on how the Iraq election results look to be shaping up at his Informed Comment website.

The Shi’te UIA list looks to have done best, followed by the Kurds and then by interim Prime Minister Iyad Allawi’s INC list.

Formation of a government will require two thirds support. It looks like the UIA and INC may end up competing for the support of the Kurds and smaller parties.
