Peace Process in deep freeze

Irish News columnist Brian Feeney has a grim assessment of the state of the Irish peace process in the wake of last months £26 million bank robbery in Belfast (available online thanks to the excellent Nuzhound website.)

No evidence has yet been produced to back up official claims that the IRA was behind the robbery.

However, Feeney’s view will sway many people because he has been sympathetic to Sinn Fein in recent years. Indeed, he has written a book tracing the party’s history from it’s foundation exactly a century ago: Sinn Fein: A Hundred Turbulent Years
