Tories accused on peace process

Peter Hain has accused the Tories of undermining the peace process, according to a UTV report:

"It is very important that the peace process is kept on track," Leader of the House Peter Hain told MPs at questions on future Commons business.

"I hope the Conservative front bench, for once under this current leadership, will actually back the Government in seeking to get it back on track instead of continuously sniping away and undermining the peace process."

The Tories had attacked Labour over troop withdrawals from Northern Ireland and the issue of parliamentary privileges for Sinn Fein MPs.
