WASHINGTON – A private military contractor in Iraq is being targeted by Sen. Chuck Schumer following allegations mercenaries put innocent civilians in their cross hairs.
Schumer (D-N.Y.) asked Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld last month to have Stuart Bowen, Pentagon inspector general for Iraq reconstruction, take over the investigation of the shootings. (New York Daily News)
