1601 signatures is pretty good, and must represent quite a fair proportion of people who do take the time and trouble to enhance our democracy by submitting Freedom of Information Act requests.
Will it have the desired influence on the Department for Constitutional Affairs ? -
It will be interesting to see what they have to say in response.
I suppose its arguable that a petition may not be the best way to raise what might seem like a fairly esoteric subject. However, I think its a very respectable outcome and its got to be better raised than not raised. -
