British Intelligence Officers in Ireland: A Spotter’s Guide for Archival Researchers

In the course of researching the Irish Troubles at the National Archives, I've come across a fair few stray references to the intelligence services, and I've compiled this document for my Patreon subscribers (currently 2,885 words) while trying to make sense of them. Hopefully, it should give others engaged in similar research a few pointers as to what to look out for.

Although the list of sources is fairly comprehensive, I would hope to include fuller inline references in future drafts, as well as longer biographies, although much of that material will overlap with the draft British Intelligence in Ireland book, to which it should eventually be incorporated as an appendix.

As ever, I'd welcome any feedback on areas that people would like to see expanded, and especially any tips on sources of information I've overlooked.
