Do Scots want a Republic?

49 per cent of Scots want an elected President compared to only 30 per cent who want a hereditary monarchy, according to last weekend’s YouGov/Scotland on Sunday poll.

Strangely though, in answer to the next question, only 33 per cent say there should be no Monarch after Queen Elizabeth II.

I guess you pays your money and you takes your pick.

There are more details on the poll over at Independence.
